Content Marketing Articles
Content marketing articles support the website and business organically, reducing any advertising fees. The aim is to build up a hub of several hundred separate content articles that use long tail key words for each product or service. It is usual to write several articles about the same product but from a different perspective

Featured Snippets
Sample Featured Snippet
Featured Snippets average 25% more visits to a website than a Number 1 listing. They employ 2-4 times more advertising space than regular ads. This sample is at position 0, and has the number 1 position below it and a row of images from its website. The combined lineage is more than four times that of other listings

Long Tail Keywords
Competitors hussle to monopolise short tail keyword advertising and so it's more difficult to obtain a number 1 position without advertising. There are far more buyers using long tails, searching for a specific product. A content marketing campiagn targets that market. It takes time to build it but once the articles accumulate the advantage is easily seen.
Blogs
Blogs are also used for Content Marketing
Blogs do have many drawbacks compared to content marketing, e.g. they are awkward to create and edit and will rarely have a consistent look and feel.
It is difficult to obtain top search listings with blogs, which is one of the main reasons for creating online content.
Content should be updated regularly (at least every 6 months). This is fairly easy with content articles but awkward with blogs, with the result that blogs soon lose their search rank.
